Filmabad is a rapidly growing community and ecosystem for filmmakers, storytellers, and creatives in Pakistan. Our mission is to make filmmaking accessible, practical, and globally competitive.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our core team as a Head of Production & Programs. This role is central to ensuring the smooth execution of Filmabad's core activities - from bootcamps and labs to special events and the MEHFILM festival.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-moving, creative, grassroots ecosystem. As the Head of Production & Programs, you will be responsible for managing the logistics, operations, and execution of Filmabad's core activities.

  • Bootcamp Production:
    • Plan and manage logistics for Filmabad Bootcamps: venue, equipment rentals, food, transport, and on-site setup.
    • Create and update Bootcamp Checklists to keep operations consistent.
    • Coordinate with mentors and volunteers to ensure seamless delivery.
    • Track expenses and close out payments after each bootcamp.
    • Ensure participants have a smooth onboarding experience (registration, confirmations, follow-ups).
  • Finance & Administration:
    • Maintain program budget sheets and expense tracking.
    • Collect, file, and organize all receipts, invoices, and contracts.
    • Deliver a simple monthly financial summary (income vs expenses).
    • Support sponsorship reporting by preparing usage/budget reports for sponsors when required.
  • Program & Event Management:
    • Support Filmabad Labs (scheduling, communication, technical setup).
    • Assist with MEHFILM festival logistics (venues, vendors, permissions, guest coordination, volunteer deployment).
    • Coordinate with schools/partners for special programs and workshops.
    • Handle scheduling and communication for Filmabad events.
  • Systems & Data:
    • Keep Filmabad's shared drive organized with trackers, contracts, budgets, and rosters.
    • Maintain accurate records of attendees, volunteers, and mentors for all programs.
    • Document learnings and feedback after each program to improve future workflows.
    • Ensure all data remains centralized with Filmabad.
  • General Support:
    • Provide weekly progress updates to the leadership team.
    • Step in as support staff at major events (festival days, bootcamps, labs) as needed.
    • Anticipate gaps in planning and proactively solve problems.
