We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer (Kubernetes – EKS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing pipelines and infrastructure, enhancing automated test suites, and improving development and release processes. You will work closely with software developers and engineers to ensure systems are safe, secure, and scalable. The successful candidate will have a passion for automation, a drive for innovation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS environments with multi-AZ redundancy
• Lead EKS cluster operations, including upgrades, scaling, and maintenance while ensuring zero downtime
• Architect and troubleshoot microservices implementations following cloud-native principles and 12-factor methodology
• Deploy and maintain mission-critical applications with focus on high availability and fault tolerance
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using industry-standard tooling
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates and automate operational workflows
• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve system reliability and deployment velocity
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• 2 years of hands-on experience working with AWS in a production environment.
• Completed AWS Associate certification is preferred.

Must Have Requirements

• Proven experience architecting and maintaining highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services (IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, Lambda, ACM, Route53, CloudWatch, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, VPN)
• Strong expertise in EKS cluster management, including upgrades, scaling, and zero-downtime maintenance
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and practical implementation of the 12-factor methodology
• Extensive experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/ECS
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using HashiCorp Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Advanced scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, and/or Go for automation and tooling development
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Demonstrated expertise with CNCF tools and cloud-native architecture patterns
• Strong experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
• Excellence in problem-solving and incident response alongside Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders
• Experience in multi-cloud architecture design and implementation is a plus.
