
Post-Sales IT Specialist

The Post-Sale IT Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the IT Infrastructure team in achievement of their sales targets by driving the planning, development, execution and implementation of Solutions (Enterprise, Platform or Point), with a primary focus on datacenters, servers, cloud infrastructure, and storage systems. The solution could be turnkey or custom-built, the IT specialist is equipped with knowledge and expertise to customize technical solutions that address key business challenges. With this in mind, The Post-Sales IT Specialist will be engaging with stakeholders (sub-managerial to C-level/Investors) and subject matter experts, ensuring seamless alignment of IT solutions with business needs across all units, fostering smooth integration and operational success.
Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (BCS/BE in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering). Preferably, not compulsory, relative certifications (primarily datacenter design and architecture).
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and propose tailored solutions based on client challenges and goals.
- Solution Design:
- Develop comprehensive and scalable Datacenter, Servers and Storage that align with client requirements.
- Design high-performance, resilient, and secure architectures considering current and future needs.
- Technical Consultation:
- Provide expert advice on the selection, implementation, and optimization of datacenter, servers and storage technologies.
- Conduct technical presentations and workshops to articulate the benefits of proposed solutions.
- Work closely with the sales and project delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales phases.
- Address technical queries and provide ongoing support to clients during and after solution implementation.
- Coordinate with different OEMs like Huawei, HP, Dell, Commvault, VMWare and the likes for solution designing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Support, to ensure a unified approach to client success.
- Foster strong relationships with key technology partners to stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and post-implementation reports.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on project status and key milestones.
Certifications:
Please note that these certifications are not concrete requirements for the job; rather, they are referenced as expected body of knowledge of the prospective candidates. However, actual verifiable certificates produced during the hiring process will prove depth of knowledge in pre-screening phase; therefore, will be given preference.

- Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP)
- Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)
- Expected knowledge/awareness of Data Center related standards for example:
- ANSI/BICSI Standards
- TIA, and BCSI Standards
- Uptime Institute (Operational Sustainability)
- ISO 9000 (Quality System)
- PCI (Payment Card Sector Security Standard)
- SAS 70 (Type I & II) Audit Process
Technical Skills:
Enterprise IT Infrastructure Expertise, Cloud Platforms, Virtualization, Networking, System Integration, Security Protocols, Troubleshooting, Automation Tools
Business Acumen:
Business Process Understanding, Sales Support, Client Relationship Management, Contract and SLA Management
