Key Responsibilities

As a Disease Surveillance Officer/Immunization Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and reporting on disease trends and outbreaks within the assigned district.
  • Implementing and overseeing immunization programs to ensure maximum coverage and effectiveness.
  • Coordinating with local healthcare facilities and authorities to manage health emergencies and disease prevention initiatives.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health data to inform public health strategies and interventions.
  • Conducting field visits to assess and improve the delivery of health services.
  • Providing training and support to healthcare workers on disease surveillance and immunization practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international health standards and protocols.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in using computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Excellent command of English and local languages pertinent to the assigned districts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to public health improvement.
  • Possession of a personal laptop for official use.
