Hotel Mehran, a premier establishment in Karachi, is seeking an accomplished Chief Engineer to lead and manage the hotel's engineering operations. The role demands a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in HVAC systems, fire safety systems, genset operations, boilers, chillers, and other essential hotel infrastructure. This position involves ensuring seamless operations, safety, and top-tier maintenance standards to support both guest and staff needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and oversee the maintenance and repair of critical systems, including HVAC, fire safety systems, generators (gensets), boilers, and chillers.
  2. Ensure the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are in optimal working condition.
  3. Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programs.
  5. Manage the maintenance budget and oversee cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  6. Collaborate with other hotel departments to address maintenance concerns promptly.
  7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  8. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  9. Plan and execute large-scale maintenance projects and infrastructure upgrades in coordination with hotel management.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
  2. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, fire safety systems, gensets, boilers, chillers, and other critical infrastructure.
  3. Industry Background: Previous experience in the hospitality industry with an understanding of hotel operations from an engineering perspective.
  4. Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  5. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and solution-oriented skills.
  6. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local health, safety, and fire regulations.
