Job Description Summary

The role involves leading and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across high-voltage substations and HVDC Converter station projects, both onshore and offshore. This requires an in-depth understanding of BIM processes aligned with ISO 19650 standards and effective coordination of multiple projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in BIM and develop solutions during the pre-ITO (requisition) process, interfacing with the commercial team, and continue through the operation execution period.
  • Deliver high-quality BIM proposals, including processes and programs that enhance acceptance, compliance, effectiveness, and cost competitiveness while reducing performance risks.
  • Manage and audit 3D models, perform clash detection, oversee IFC exchanges, augmented reality applications, and virtual construction reviews.
  • Ensure BIM data accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle per the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Edit templates, manage shared parameters, set up view templates, and maintain standardized outputs for drawings and technical documents.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with BIM standards, quality control, and model management practices across project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in a global organization.
  • Experience managing BIM strategies across HV substations and HVDC projects, both onshore and offshore.
  • Experience with project risk management, financial processes, and global tendering.
  • Familiarity with technical management in multidisciplinary teams with multiple interfaces.
  • Experience managing subcontracted design work packages.
  • Basic knowledge of HV substation design, equipment installation, construction, and field operations.
  • Knowledge of project estimating and cost engineering.
  • Understanding of substation protection & control schemes, SCADA systems, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of IEEE & ANSI standards, NEC, and NESC codes.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Revit for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
