About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Modeler to join our team as a Senior Instructor at the CITRIC Health Data Science Centre.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and apply advanced data science techniques to drive meaningful insights and improvements in public health.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and validating data-driven models based on available health data and disease characteristics.
  • Refining models using historical data and epidemiological patterns.
  • Customizing models for specific diseases, conditions, situations, and populations.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data modeling to drive meaningful insights and improvements in public health.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least three years of progressive experience in leading and managing data science projects.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and training researchers, faculty, and staff in data science methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, along with proficiency in data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn).

You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
