Job Description (based in Lahore, Pakistan)

  • The selected individual will manage the 24-hour operational Darkstore on-site, with a minimum presence of 6-8 hours daily, and coordinate virtually beyond on-ground hours.
  • Coordinate end-to-end warehouse processes, including inbound management, stock handling, storing, and order dispatching on time.
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet the agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Proactively recommend and implement operational goals, objectives, and process improvements.
  • Manage Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) procedures to ensure compliance through regular safety and health risk assessments.
  • Allocate resources effectively to optimize efficiency, including scheduling.
  • Liaise with the commercial department to manage fast and slow-moving lines, spoilages, wastages, shrinkages, and the implementation of returns, refunds, and handling damaged or expired goods.
  • Conduct periodic stock takes, ensuring accuracy and keeping stock variation within acceptable limits.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and work standards consistently.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and escalate malfunctions to the Realty Facility Manager.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order dispatches.
  • Keep records of stock expiries and prevent delivery of damaged or expired products.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders such as neighbors, suppliers, and foodpanda riders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; management trainees are encouraged to apply.
  • Deep understanding of operations and principles such as supply chain, customer service, JIT, Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of local industry legislation.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including vendor delivery teams, neighbors, and community.
  • Experience with performance and operation metrics.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and demand forecasting tools.
  • Excellent manpower planning and scheduling skills, including managing off days and variable demand.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
