IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Be responsible for driving trade marketing initiatives and enhancing channel development efforts to optimize sales performance. This position will oversee the Senior Manager of Trade Marketing and will be instrumental in creating and executing marketing strategies that effectively promote products and drive consumer engagement. The Director will collaborate closely with sales teams, channel partners, and other internal departments to ensure alignment and maximize market reach.

Strategic Trade Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies that align with overall sales objectives and enhance brand visibility in the market.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform trade marketing initiatives and channel strategies.
- Lead the planning and execution of promotional campaigns and in-store marketing activities to drive product awareness and sales.
- Identify and evaluate potential channel partners to expand distribution and enhance market presence.
- Develop channel development strategies that maximize sales opportunities across various distribution channels.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective execution of channel strategies and promotional activities.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the Trade Marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creativity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives and providing constructive feedback to support team development.
- Encourage innovation within the team to continuously improve trade marketing efforts and channel development initiatives.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the sales organization to align trade marketing initiatives with sales goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop compelling product positioning and messaging for trade promotions.
- Engage with finance and analytics teams to monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing programs and optimize budget allocations.
Performance Measurement & Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of trade marketing initiatives and channel performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on trade marketing activities, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and continuously improve trade marketing strategies.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support marketing initiatives.
- Monitor expenses and performance against the budget, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial guidelines in all trade marketing activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activities to inform trade marketing strategies.
- Drive innovation in trade marketing approaches, exploring new channels and tactics to enhance brand engagement.
Foster a culture of experimentation and learning within the trade marketing team to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 7-8 years of experience in trade marketing, channel development, or related roles, with a proven track record in leadership, preferably in the telecom or consumer goods industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in trade marketing strategies, channel management, and market analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance measurement.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management software.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex data and insights clearly.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Strong focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to drive results through effective team management and collaboration.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on enhancing brand presence and consumer engagement.
