We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and maintain quality standards. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and quality-driven assembly processes for wooden furniture at Interwood. The Assembly Engineer will optimize workflows, solve process bottlenecks, implement quality controls, and drive productivity improvements across the assembly line.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and eliminate waste.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Develop and implement process automation solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Manage projects related to process improvements, machinery upgrades, and production scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in furniture or related discrete manufacturing industries, preferably in assembly operations.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using basic hand tools and fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and root cause analysis techniques.
