To lead and manage the overall Quality function at Interwood Mobel Pvt. Ltd., ensuring that robust Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Standards practices are implemented and maintained across the organization. Responsible for end-to-end quality planning and execution, including raw material inspection, in-process and final product quality, site audits, document control, process audits, and the implementation of QMS and IMS frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control (QC):

  • Oversee QC inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process production, and final products to ensure adherence to defined quality standards.
  • Develop and enforce clear QC protocols and inspection plans at each production stage.
  • Analyze QC results and trends to identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Production teams to ensure immediate resolution of quality deviations.

Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Lead end-to-end QA implementation across production and supporting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality policies, specifications, and procedures.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Quality Assurance documentation and SOPs.
  • Implement effective systems for document control and version management.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with company, local, and international quality standards.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of QMS (Quality Management System) and IMS (Integrated Management System) frameworks.
  • Drive readiness for external certifications and audits.

Site and Process Audits:

  • Plan and execute quality site audits to ensure consistent standards at all facilities.
  • Conduct process audits to verify adherence to defined procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Document audit findings, track action plans, and ensure timely closures.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the Quality team, including QC Inspectors, QA Analysts, and Document Controllers.
  • Build a quality-focused culture across production and supporting departments.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance management to ensure team effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, R&D, and Warehouse teams to ensure shared quality objectives.
  • Serve as the central contact point for quality-related issues, escalations, and customer complaints.
  • Support resolution of internal claims and complaints through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and complaints.
  • Promote use of data-driven problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
    • Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in Quality roles, including leadership.
    • Proven track record in manufacturing industries (Furniture/Engineering preferred).
    • Experience implementing QMS/IMS frameworks.
    • Knowledge of ISO standards and relevant compliance requirements.
    • In-depth knowledge of QC inspection techniques and standards.
    • Strong understanding of QA frameworks, SOP development, and document control.
    • Familiarity with QMS and IMS principles and implementation.
    • Ability to conduct effective audits and manage compliance.
    • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning.
    • Leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Data analysis, reporting, and communication skills.
