JOB SUMMARY

The identified staff will work under the supervision of a medical officer as part of the clinical services provision team. She will be the focal point for the provision of SRH services as outlined below.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide outpatient consultation services at service delivery points under the supervision of a medical officer for sexual and reproductive health services.
2. Take patient history, examine patients, identify risk factors, and conduct basic tests based on global standards for clinical care of pregnant and delivering women during ANC and PNC.
3. Prescribe treatment or refer patients for gynecological conditions under the supervision of a medical officer.
4. Carry out nutritional assessments of women and children and refer malnourished individuals to International Medical Corps (if available) or other partner organizations for further treatment or food supplements, maintaining proper records.
5. Handle/manage baby deliveries under the supervision of a lady doctor when well-equipped facilities and services are available.
6. Assist neonatal resuscitation activities in case BEmONC and CEmONC services are provided at the facility, under the supervision of a qualified medical doctor.
7. Conduct sexual and reproductive health education and counseling for women, either individually or in groups, focusing on family planning, danger signs during pregnancy, ANC/PNC, exclusive breastfeeding, skilled deliveries, balanced/weaning diet, and vaccination.
8. Ensure TT vaccination for women of childbearing age and children through appropriate referrals.
9. Maintain proper records of ANC/PNC registers and cards, FP register, OPD register, and other relevant tools related to maternal and child health.
10. Adhere to universal precautions for IPC during clinical care and promote such practices.
11. Ensure timely referral of complicated cases encountered at the point of care based on international SRH clinical standards.
12. Provide CMR/IPV services at the service delivery point under the supervision of the lady doctor, ensuring proper training and availability of PEP kits and supplies.
13. Provide weekly reports of activities and patient data based on established protocols.
14. Participate in review and planning meetings as part of the health team.
15. Coordinate with other team members and IMC office related to service provision.
16. Perform other duties as assigned. The duties listed are representative of the work level and not exhaustive.

Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified and registered Lady Health Visitor (LHV) or community midwife from a recognized government nursing institute with a valid license.
• At least two years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience with NGOs is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, especially on sensitive RH topics and health education.
• Ability to communicate in the local language is preferred.
