About the role:

As the Assistant Manager - Systems & Processes Channel Planning (S&D)/ Senior Executive in this domain, you will play a critical role in managing process automation, designing and implementing new processes, gathering business requirements, and supporting systems development across the commercial division. You will act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects, change requests, and system enhancements. To design, deliver, and evaluate capability-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of the sales team. This role focuses on training and developing sales staff to achieve sales excellence, meet organizational goals, and improve customer satisfaction.

Your Impactful Goals will include:
  • Lead multiple and complex system and process-related projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Commercial and Technology divisions.
  • Contribute to product planning, roadmaps, and screening processes.
  • Actively participate in roadmap iteration sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage development bandwidth, ensuring proper prioritization and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams on major releases and initiatives.
  • Manage change requests, sprint planning, and system release cycles.
  • Conduct thorough product scoping in collaboration with various teams.
  • Present project/release cases to relevant decision-making forums for approvals.
  • Ensure timely delivery and maintain visibility of project status for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinate product testing and rollout with marketing, sales, technology, and customer service teams.
  • Align planning with the strategic goals of the department and broader organization.
  • Maintain technical/business knowledge of the BSS (Business Support Systems) domain.
  • Design and execute targeted training programs per quarter to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and customer engagement techniques.
  • Conduct sales capability assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend focused development interventions.
  • Facilitate adoption of new sales tools, CRM, or digital selling platforms with a minimum 90% user compliance rate within 3 months of rollout
Your Typical Day will look like:
  • Monitoring project progress and planning upcoming activities.
  • Managing stakeholder alignment and building productive relationships.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to ensure project/release visibility across the organization.
  • Coordinating with Commercial, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.
  • Working for visibility on roadmap items and change requests.
  • Supporting issue resolution with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Promoting innovation and cultivating a creative team culture.
  • Participating in management and cross-functional team (CFT) meetings.
  • Driving agile/traditional practices and continuous improvement.
  • Review Sales KPIs and Training Dashboards to identify focus areas and performance gaps.
  • Conduct Training Sessions or Workshops (virtual or in-person) with new hires or existing sales staff on topics like product knowledge, sales skills, or customer handling.
  • Coordinate with Sales Managers and Field Teams to understand current challenges, market feedback, and immediate capability needs.
  • Develop Training Materials, Sales Playbooks, and E-learning Content in collaboration with the product and marketing teams.
  • Host Coaching Sessions or Field Visits to provide one-on-one or group coaching to the sales force.
  • Monitor Training Progress and Participation Reports to ensure sales teams are aligned with learning objectives.
  • Attend Cross-functional Meetings with HR, Sales Leadership, and Marketing for alignment on upcoming product launches, sales campaigns, and capability initiatives.
  • Prepare and Analyze Post-Training Evaluation Reports to measure training impact and track improvements in sales performance.
  • Plan and Schedule Upcoming Training Sessions, Webinars, and Workshops.
  • Follow up on Action Items from meetings, coaching sessions, and sales team feedback.
  • Document Daily Activities, Key Learnings, and Performance Updates for reporting to management.

What we're looking for:

Education:Minimum Bachelor's in IT or Business.MBA is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of sales cycles, territory management, lead conversion, and customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in coaching sales staff, identifying skill gaps, and providing actionable feedback.
  • Ability to drive performance improvement through capability enhancement.
  • Skills in conducting training needs analysis (TNA) using sales KPIs, performance data, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Capability to design customized learning interventions based on assessed gaps.
  • Ability to develop sales training content, presentations, e-learning modules, and playbooks.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to track training effectiveness, measure ROI, and assess sales performance post-training.
  • Proficiency in Excel, dashboards, and basic data visualization for reporting purposes.
  • Experience working closely with sales, marketing, product, and HR teams to align training with business goals.
  • Quick learner with the ability to gain deep product understanding to effectively train sales teams.
