ibex. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with experience in WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN/WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers, and capable of providing Tier-1/2/3 support to diagnose and resolve escalated issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and provide Tier-1/2/3 support to diagnose and resolve escalated issues affecting service connectivity across Data Center, DR, Regional Hubs, and branches.
  2. Manage network infrastructure and independently handle new tasks.
  3. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
  4. Monitor performance, ensure system availability and reliability.
  5. Monitor resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  6. Follow established configuration and change management policies for network modifications.
  7. Implement security policies in collaboration with the security team.
  8. Coordinate with internal and external teams for problem resolution.
  9. Handle network queries from operations/end-users.
  10. Maintain network tools and applications like Orion, TACACS, and configuration backups.
  11. Respond to trouble tickets and network queries during bridge meetings.
  12. Coordinate with carriers.
  13. Configure and install network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 4-5 years of experience with WAN protocols, LAN/WLAN, Cisco switches and routers.
  • Knowledge of NG-Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate), security practices (ACLs, VPNs).
  • Experience with wireless controllers and access points.
  • Project experience in core infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
  • Knowledge of SDN/SD-WAN, public cloud, and security products.
  • Expertise in routing, switching, VPN troubleshooting, and WAN architecture.
  • Experience in security audits, network patching, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and enterprise change management.
  • Strong experience with NG-Firewalls and network management tools.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
