Clinical Research Coordinator I

A full-time Clinical Research Coordinator I position is available in the Connectome 2.0 group of the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The successful candidate will work in the advanced MRI laboratory led by Dr. Susie Huang. The primary responsibilities include managing clinical, basic science, and technology research studies within the laboratory.

Working independently under the PI, the coordinator will be responsible for pre-screening healthy volunteers and patients, scheduling, recruitment, and administrative duties related to study protocol operations. They will assist in spreadsheet management, ensuring data security, access, and quality assurance. The role involves coordinating study activities, recruiting and scheduling participants, acquiring MRI data, and positioning patients and volunteers in the MRI scanner. The individual will oversee experimental sessions and assist with basic neuroimaging data analysis.

The coordinator will work under the general direction of the PI and laboratory staff to coordinate research activities, perform regulatory and compliance tasks, monitor laboratory safety, and coordinate study visits and data analysis to meet the laboratory's goals and commitments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science required; fields such as psychology, neuroscience, or premedical science are desirable.
  • 0-1 year of relevant research project experience preferred.
  • Skills include teamwork, judgment, protocol interpretation, organization, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, communication, attention to detail, and task prioritization.
Additional Responsibilities

The individual will handle ordering research and office supplies, monitor invoices, and process subject remuneration, including parking.

Working Conditions

The work will be conducted in office spaces at Buildings 75 and 149, CNY, involving presence in MRI scanner bays and assisting with volunteer setup, which may include some lifting and physical activities.
