The Customer/Sales Manager at SMJ International Industries is responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer service and sales operations within the organization. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives, developing sales strategies, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and sales objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand the customer base and increase sales.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs, such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, including setting sales targets, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching team members to achieve sales goals.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and retention.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to gather insights and continuously improve the customer experience.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align customer needs with business strategies and offerings.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and onboard new sales team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to sales representatives to help them achieve their targets and maximize their potential.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Sales Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and implement sales plans and forecasts to guide sales activities and resource allocation.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and risks.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and forecasts for management review and decision-making.
- Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers and support sales efforts.
- Conduct product training sessions for sales team members to ensure they have a deep understanding of the products and can effectively convey value propositions to customers.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the cosmetics, skincare, or beauty industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends to drive informed decision-making.
Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is due weightage.
