Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Cloudera Administrator with over 3 years of proven experience in managing and optimizing Cloudera clusters. In this role, you will oversee the seamless operation, performance tuning, and security of our big data infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera clusters, including upgrades and patches.
• Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage and optimize Hadoop ecosystem services (e.g., HDFS, YARN, Kudu, Hive, Spark).
• Implement and maintain robust security protocols, including Kerberos authentication, encryption, and access control policies.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for data clusters.
• Monitor resource utilization and manage capacity planning for the cluster.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure effective use of the Cloudera environment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cluster configurations, architecture, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Cloudera Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.).
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Experience with Cloudera Manager and related tools.
• Hands-on experience with cluster monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
