At Maersk, the Analyst OTC will be integral in enhancing the efficiency of our order-to-cash process. This role involves managing overdue payments and strengthening customer relationships related to outstanding debts, ultimately ensuring the smooth flow of financial operations. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities to drive timely collections and contribute to the overall financial success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers and clients with outstanding debts to arrange timely payments
  • Negotiate payment plans and agreements to ensure debts are cleared within the agreed timeframes
  • Provide customers with clear information regarding their outstanding debts and the potential consequences of non payment
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of all collection efforts and interactions with customers
  • Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies related to debt collection practices
  • Work proactively to reduce overdue debts, focusing on improving Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and reducing Average Days Late (ADL) for the assigned portfolio
  • Forecast and track monthly collections to meet targets and expectations
  • Actively contribute to overdue reduction projects and demonstrate agility in responding to changing customer dynamics and collection needs

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience in accounts receivable, debt collection, or similar roles, with a strong understanding of the order-to-cash cycle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and professionally with customers
  • High level of accuracy in record-keeping and data management
  • Ability to think critically and develop solutions to reduce overdue balances and improve collection efficiency
  • Experience with forecasting, tracking collections, and understanding key financial metrics (e.g., DSO, ADL)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices
