We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Director - Delivery Management Specialist.

In this role, you will:

Primary Accountability:

• The Pod Lead is responsible for managing the Regional Risk project Pod, developing team capabilities across multiple functional areas, maintaining staff engagement, managing underperformers, and developing talent.
• Functionally leading the pod by defining and executing engineering delivery plans, collaborating with other pods in Enterprise Risk IT and business units to solve problems using technology.
• This role suits a candidate eager to build a high-performing team and drive organizational change through design thinking, innovation, and thought leadership.
• Mobilize a team operating across various technology stacks to deliver operational excellence.
• Leverage knowledge of best practices, processes, frameworks, tools, and automation to enhance service quality.
• Foster a learning culture, ensuring the team's technical expertise remains current with industry developments.
• Collaborate with the Production & Infrastructure Pod to manage patching processes, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate with vendors regarding product defects, and advocate for the best outcomes for HSBC.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, driving transformation and managing conflicting stakeholder priorities.
• Operate as a technical expert across product or service release stages, maintaining excellent domain knowledge and customer focus.
• Support identification, root cause analysis, and resolution of IT service problems, guided by Embed DevOps principles.
• Customers / Stakeholders:
• Assist stakeholders in decomposing complex requirements into manageable Epics and User Stories for delivery.
• Monitor and report on project progress, issues, dependencies, and risks; recommend actions to maintain progress and benefits realization.
• Manage relationships with key regional, national, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment on critical issues.
• Leadership and Teamwork:
• Work with the technology team and product owner to improve productivity through backlog management and Agile methodologies.
• Promote Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) within technology teams.
• Enforce process discipline and continuous improvement in software delivery, support processes, and DevOps pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to technology standards, controls, and architecture frameworks.
• Manage the development and promotion of technology portfolios and project management practices.
• Drive compliance with security controls, governance, and architecture standards.
