A vacancy has arisen for a Head of Department/Senior Manager, Human Resources. Reporting to the General Manager and as a member of the Management Team, the successful candidate will work to ensure that HR policies and practices across the country are of the highest standards. He or she will work alongside Head of Departments and Senior Managers to enhance the collaborative culture and capability of the company, leading the HR plan and team.

This is a varied, hands-on role which would best suit someone with a strong operational background and the hunger and potential to move into a more strategic role.

The Head of Human Resources will participate in the company's growth plans, provide support to managers, support key initiatives, take full responsibility for HR operations and manage a small team. This will include:

  1. Implementing an HR plan to support the needs of the organisation.
  2. Assisting senior managers to develop an understanding of the importance of good HR practice / leadership.
  3. Advising on a wide range of HR related issues.
  4. Ensuring processes and policies are fit for purpose.
  5. Ensuring compliance with current employment law issues.
  6. Implementing a new, simplified performance appraisal system to ensure all staff have clear objectives and development plans.
