We are looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Project Manager to join our IT team. You will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day tasks, coordinating with internal teams, and acting as a bridge between clients and developers. From gathering requirements directly from clients to overseeing execution and ensuring timely delivery, you will help keep projects on track, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational tasks of ongoing projects and ensure smooth execution.
  • Act as the key liaison for client communications, from initial requirement gathering to final delivery.
  • Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Support the Project Manager in leading team meetings, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Take ownership of team management, ensuring clear communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams.
  • Document, track, and update project progress using tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or Asana.
  • Organise and participate in client meetings, providing updates, clarifying requirements, and managing expectations.
  • Monitor risks, issues, and blockers, and escalate where necessary with mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports, meeting notes, and requirement documents.
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to best practices throughout the execution and delivery phases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
  • Experience in handling client-facing roles and understanding client needs.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, excel etc.).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Project management certifications (PMP, CAPM, or Scrum Master).
  • Experience working in software development, web design, or digital agency settings.
  • Familiarity with tech stacks and IT terminologies.
