Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Billing Closer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in finalizing billing processes, resolving outstanding claims, and ensuring timely reimbursements from payers. In addition to handling claim closures, the closer will also be responsible for finalizing provider onboarding during the contract sign-up stage, ensuring a seamless transition into our billing system. The ideal candidate should be confident in attending client meetings, communicating effectively with providers, and collaborating with internal teams to support end-to-end revenue cycle success. You will manage the closing phase of both the billing and client onboarding cycle with precision and urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Should be confident in attending client meeting and finalizing onboarding
  • Follow up on unpaid claims with insurance companies via phone, email, or portal.
  • Resolve denied or rejected claims by reviewing EOBs and resubmitting corrected claims.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance representatives and internal billing team to expedite closures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all follow-up activity in billing software.
  • Analyze A/R reports and prioritize high-value or aging claims for resolution.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for claim resolution and collections.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and client-specific guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in U.S. medical billing (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and claim life cycle.
  • Experience with client onboarding & denial management and AR follow-up.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in verbal English.
  • Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, OfficeAlly, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
