The Institute for Educational Development (IED), Pakistan is an academic entity of the Aga Khan University. This is a contractual position for 11 months.

Responsibilities

The Academic Specialist will work closely with the Dean to support academic initiatives. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • assisting in conceptualizing and designing projects and academic articles by conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and preparing research summaries.
  • supporting the drafting of reports, talks, and presentations.
  • providing academic support in the courses taught by the Dean.
  • assisting in coordinating academic events, seminars, and workshops organized by the Dean's Office.
Requirements
  • A degree, preferably a master's, in the Social Sciences and/or the Humanities.
  • Strong academic writing and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in conducting research and supporting academic projects.
  • Proficiency in preparing course presentations and academic resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
