We are looking for a technically sound and detail-oriented Mid-Level Business Analyst with 3–5 years of proven experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder coordination within a fast-paced software development environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical teams, ensuring successful delivery through well-documented requirements, process flows, and user stories. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and enterprise software architecture, and be capable of independently managing end-to-end analysis for complex systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead discovery sessions with client to understand business objectives, user journeys, and requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), GAP analyses, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Develop and maintain technical diagrams such as process flows, data flow diagrams (DFDs), system context diagrams, and use case diagrams using tools like MS Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to ensure user experience requirements are aligned with business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria in tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and support sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, development teams, QA, and design to ensure proper implementation and clarification of requirements.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate scope creep and requirement gaps proactively.
  • Deliver user training sessions and contribute to knowledge transfer activities when required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in requirement management and diagramming tools (MS Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, etc.).
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical architecture and workflows.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in high-stakes project environments.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 3 years.
  • Preferred: 4–5 years in business/system analysis roles within software or IT services.

Education/Qualification:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (BCS) or an equivalent field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science (MCS) or an equivalent discipline.
