Role Overview:

GrowthRune is building the next generation of AI-first solutions and is looking for a junior developer to support our LLM-powered backend services. You'll collaborate on building prototypes and production-ready features using Node.js, LangChain, Pinecone and Redis. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of backend engineering and applied AI.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Node.js services that power LLM-based features.
  • Develop workflows using LangChain chains, agents, retrievers, and memory.
  • Work with vector databases like Pinecone to enable semantic search.
  • Apply prompt-engineering best practices and tune for output quality.
  • Participate in evaluation processes, including human-in-the-loop testing and metric tracking (e.g., perplexity, ROUGE).
  • Collaborate with senior AI engineers and product teams to build useful, secure, and scalable AI features.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years experience building services with Node.js, preferably backend-oriented.
  • Practical experience using LangChain in a real-world project.
  • Familiarity with OpenAI APIs (completion, chat, embeddings) and streaming responses.
  • Understanding of vector stores like Pinecone or Weaviate.
  • Awareness of prompt design, LLM reliability, and evaluation strategies.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to cutting-edge AI development with a product mindset.
