Vertex Infotech Solutions is seeking a skilled Cypress Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our web applications. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to implement robust automation frameworks and improve the overall testing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Automation Development:
    1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
    2. Implement end-to-end (E2E), integration, and functional tests to ensure application stability.
    3. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
    4. Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects using bug-tracking tools.
    5. Troubleshoot and debug test failures, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
  2. Framework & Process Optimization:
    1. Enhance and optimize existing Cypress automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
    2. Establish best practices for test automation, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
    3. Work closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and automation strategies.
    4. Provide detailed test reports, insights, and recommendations to enhance software quality.
  3. Performance & Security Testing (Optional):
    1. Support performance and security testing efforts as needed.
    2. Contribute to API automation testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    1. 2+ years of experience in test automation with Cypress.
  2. Technical Skills:
    1. Hands-on experience with Cypress end-to-end testing, component testing, and UI automation.
    2. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.) for automated testing integration.
    3. Experience with API testing and working with RESTful services.
    4. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
  2. Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.
  3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum environment.

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Detail-oriented with a passion for software quality.
