Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of QA experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in testing microservices-based applications.
  • Strong experience with manual and automated testing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools such as SonarQube, Burp Suite, or OWASP ZAP.
  • Proficiency in writing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating QA tools into DevOps workflows.
  • Solid understanding of OWASP standards and application security best practices.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.
  • Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing strategies, preferably in AWS environments.
  • Understanding of BDD/TDD practices and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and optimize QA strategies, processes, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the key QA advisor, guiding development teams on testing best practices within microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality, focusing on defect prevention and timely issue resolution.
  • Design and execute detailed test plans and cases for functional, integration, and system testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation test suites for regression testing using frameworks like Selenium or Cypress.
  • Lead exploratory and manual testing for edge cases to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Implement API testing for microservices with tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Conduct SAST and DAST to identify vulnerabilities in code and applications.
  • Ensure adherence to OWASP standards and security best practices in QA processes.
  • Work with DevOps and Security teams to integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement performance testing strategies with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Monitor application performance under load and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Optimize existing QA workflows for efficiency and reduced time-to-market.
  • Introduce modern testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to stay industry-aligned.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of the QA team.
  • Collaborate early with development teams for shift-left testing approaches.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum workflows, including sprint planning and reviews.
  • Provide clear defect reports, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
