Overview

Senior/Principal System Engineer responsibilities focused on Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle WebLogic Server, and related Oracle platforms. This role involves design, deployment, administration, automation, and security across Oracle technologies, with emphasis on HA/load balancing, patching, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and manage Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) components including agents, repositories, and load plans
  • Deploy and administer Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) with BI Publisher, DV, and catalog management
  • Install and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server domains, clusters, and secure them with SSL
  • Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Load Balancing strategies for ODI and OAS using WebLogic clustering, Oracle HTTP Server, or external load balancers (e.g., Nginx, HAProxy, F5)
  • Set up and configure Oracle APEX and integrate it with Oracle databases and web servers
  • Apply patches, perform upgrades, and implement security best practices across all Oracle platforms
  • Document technical processes, maintain best practices, and ensure version control for ODI objects
OLVM (Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager)
  • Design, provision, and manage compute, networking, and storage in OLVM
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform, CLI, or Ansible (would be a plus)
Infrastructure Automation & Support
  • Develop scripts and automation routines for installation, configuration, and daily operations
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure and DevOps teams on CI/CD integration and system monitoring
  • Ensure high availability and performance tuning of Oracle platform components
Oracle Linux & System Administration
  • Administer Oracle Linux servers hosting Oracle stack components
  • Set up system-level monitoring, logging, and resource utilization tools
  • Support backup/recovery operations and implement DR strategies where applicable
  • Administer and troubleshoot Oracle Linux systems including disk management, logical volume management (LVM), and system performance tuning
  • Perform tasks related to filesystem layout, mount points, storage allocation, backup scripts, and system recovery
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI /12c)
  • Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
  • Oracle WebLogic Server administration and tuning
  • Oracle APEX deployment and configuration
  • Oracle Linux 7/8/9
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM)
  • Experience with enterprise system integration and Oracle patching/upgrade procedures
  • Bachelor\'s in engineering/computer science with 6-7 years of experience is preferred
  • Oracle certifications in OLVM, Middleware, or ODI
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tools
  • Exposure to Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
