NorthBay Solutions is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Associate Architect or Architect with 6 to 8+ years of architecture and design experience. The candidate must have extensive Solution Architecture and design skills. He/She must be well-versed with Enterprise Architecture. The ideal candidate is a creative individual who thinks out of the box and would like to work in a diverse technology environment. This is a lead role and we are looking for a candidate to bring passion and dedication to this position.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or related fields required from a renowned university.
  2. Extensive problem-solving skills.
  3. Strong software architecture and design concepts.
  4. Ability to communicate clearly regarding complex issues (in English).
  5. 6 to 8+ years of experience and proficiency in the following skills and technologies is mandatory:
Front-End:
  1. Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  2. JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, VueJS, Angular etc.
  3. Libraries Ant Design, Material UI, Vuetify, Bootstrap.
  4. Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap.
Back-End:
  1. API design and development.
  2. CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete).
  3. RESTful Services.
  4. Expert level skills in Node JS ecosystem with emphasis on TypeScript.
  5. Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  6. Database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  7. Web server technologies like Node.js, J2EE, Apache, Nginx, ISS, etc.
  8. Frameworks related to their server-side language of choice like: Express.js, Sequelize etc.
  9. Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.
  10. Working knowledge of TDD or unit testing methodology, and related technologies.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
Proficiency in the following AWS technologies is desired but not mandatory:
  1. RDS MySQL.
  2. CloudWatch Logs.
  3. Code Build / Pipeline.
  4. CloudFormation.
  5. Frontend + Cognito.
  6. VPC.
Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, document, and test software solutions.
  2. Understand the challenges being addressed by an engagement and collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meets the unique needs of our clients.
  3. Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences.
  4. Learn continuously, leveraging NorthBay training resources and self-directed training, sharing knowledge and skills with others.
  5. Provide mentoring and leadership to more junior resources.
  6. Review the code of other team members.
  7. Should be able to optimize application and identify performance bottlenecks.
  8. Test and deploy applications and systems.
  9. Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  10. Improve existing software.
