Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer & Chief Marketing Officer

Job Overview:

As a Social Media Executive at MoonShot Digital, you will be responsible for executing social media strategies, developing social media video content and maintaining community engagement for our diverse clientele, ranging from SMEs to thriving eCommerce platforms and established service businesses. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth of our in-house eCommerce verticals and providing digital services to clients in verticals ranging from pharmaceuticals and herbal supplements to hygiene, skincare, and more. You will collaborate closely with our content, design, marketing teams and business owners to craft compelling social narratives that resonate with target audiences and drive tangible results.

Key Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to:

  1. Social Media Competitor Research & Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify trends, customer behaviours, and competitor strategies to inform development decisions and new opportunities.
  2. Social Media Strategies: Develop & implement social media strategies aligned with client objectives and overall marketing goals. Employ frameworks like SWOT, RACE, POST, Marketing Funnel, & Content Marketing Matrix. Develop detailed documentation.
  3. Brand Voice & Guidelines Adherence: Ensure all social media communications strictly adhere to each client's specific brand voice, tone, and visual guidelines.
  4. Content Calendar Development: Planning, scheduling and organising posts across platforms. Ensure consistent messaging with a strategic publishing cadence aligned with objectives and trends.
  5. Content Scheduling & Publishing: Utilise social media management tools to schedule and publish content consistently across all relevant channels.
  6. Content Curation: Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging daily content (original text, images, video, GIFs, stories). Manage social media accounts in real-time.
  7. Community Management: Actively monitor and engage with online communities, respond to comments and messages promptly, and foster positive brand interactions.
  8. Platform Management: Oversee and manage multiple social media accounts for various clients across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok.
  9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) to identify trends and inform future strategies.
  10. Promotion Campaigns: Assist in the planning and execution of paid social media campaigns (Meta Ads or Boosted Posts), including audience targeting, ad creative, and performance monitoring.
  11. Social Listening & Insights: Utilise social listening tools to monitor brand mentions, industry conversations, and sentiment, providing actionable insights to refine strategies and identify opportunities.
  12. User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to encourage, identify, and leverage user-generated content for clients to enhance authenticity and engagement.
  13. Influencer Identification & Outreach: Research and identify potential social media influencers relevant to client industries for collaborative opportunities.
  14. Crisis Management (Basic): Monitor for and assist in managing potential social media crises or negative sentiment in coordination with senior team members.
  15. Project & Task Management: Use project management tools to ensure timely completion and clear communication of progress to internal teams and clients.
  16. Interdepartmental Coordination: Liaison between content, design, media, marketing, advertising, support, sales and development teams to develop an effective WordPress website.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Education:

Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Marketing, Mass Communications, Commerce, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A relevant certification is also appreciated. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.

2. Experience:

  • Social Media Management: 2+ years of experience in utilising Meta Business Manager, particularly in industries like eCommerce, pharmaceuticals, herbal supplements, skincare, etc.
  • Content Marketing: Familiarity with creating and implementing content marketing strategies, including writing compelling blog posts, articles, and promotional materials.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Familiarity with cross-functional team operations such as project management, content, design, marketing, advertising, website development and app development.

Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and

Urdu.

Required Skills:

  1. Social Media Platform Proficiency: Ability to expertly navigate and utilise all features of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube).
  2. Content Ideation: Ability to propose compelling platform-appropriate content, including text, images, short-form videos, and GIFs. Develop briefs.
  3. Copywriting & Editing: Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy tailored for different social media channels and audience segments.
  4. Community Engagement: Ability to actively monitor, respond to, and foster meaningful interactions within online communities.
  5. Social Media Analytics & Reporting: Ability to track, analyse, and interpret social media performance data to derive actionable insights.
  6. Audience Personification: Ability to understand target audience demographics, behaviours, and preferences to tailor content.
  7. Basic Graphic Design/Video Editing: Ability to perform basic graphic design tasks (e.g., using Canva) and simple video editing for social media content.
  8. Basic Social Video Production: Ability to conceptualise, script, shoot, edit and post basic short-form video content for social media platforms. Have an understanding of viral content, hooks, video lengths, video effects, and sound effects.
  9. Time Management & Organisation: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Communication & Collaboration: Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams (Content, Design, Marketing) and clients.
  11. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively, especially in high-pressure situations. Managerial experience is a plus.
  12. Technical Aptitude: Quick to learn new software, platforms, and technology, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Creative Writing: Ability to craft engaging, persuasive, and on-brand copy for digital content, including blog posts, email campaigns, ad copy, and social media content, to captivate audiences and drive conversions.
  2. Graphic Design Skills: Basic skills in design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop to create and modify promotional materials, product images, and social media graphics for enhanced online presence.
  3. Influencer Campaign Management: Ability to manage full-cycle influencer campaigns from identification to performance tracking.
  4. A/B Testing: Ability to design, execute, and analyse A/B tests for social media content, creatives, and campaign elements.
  5. Advanced Video Editing: Ability to utilise professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut Pro) for sophisticated social content.
  6. Paid Social Campaign Optimisation: Ability to independently manage and optimise paid social media campaigns beyond basic setup.
  7. SEO & Social Synergy: Ability to understand how social media activities can indirectly impact SEO and search visibility.
  8. Customer Experience Management: Ability to design and implement customer-centric strategies across digital touchpoints, ensuring seamless, personalised experiences throughout the buyer's journey.
