Some Of The Responsibilities
  • Manage PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters throughout their lifecycle.
  • Drive strategies for PostgreSQL partitioning and sharding to support rapid data growth.
  • Monitor performance issues on all databases, implementing performance monitoring and trending, and proactively identifying bottlenecks using tools like Datadog.
  • Assist development teams in optimizing SQL queries and designing databases for maximum performance, security, and reliability.
  • Handle backup, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Participate in capacity planning for databases.
  • Develop and maintain database security and standards.
  • Automate routine database tasks.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, working with PostgreSQL v16.0 or above.
  • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture.
  • Experience with Amazon RDS (Postgres and Aurora).
  • Strong Linux and shell scripting skills.
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing Redis and Elasticsearch clusters.
  • Knowledge of database management principles, data security, and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for documentation and team instruction.
