Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understand the principles of cost control, planning/scheduling, and estimating.
  • Understand the relationships between the project controls functions - estimating, planning/scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
  • Thoroughly understand, define, and identify schedule classifications and levels.
  • Coordinate and manage all project planning, monitoring, and production control related with the Client/Contractors executing.
  • Assist in the development of project work plans and schedules that support the project/business group work processes and milestones.
  • Establish Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Control Strategy, Master Schedule, and Action Plan for Planning Deliverables issuance.
  • Prepare and adopt necessary tools/methods to effectively monitor and control project progress, schedule, and resources to ensure the efficient and timely achievement of project milestones/key dates.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of planning and scheduling information collected from the project team or Contractors and advise of significant exceptions or potential problems to proposed and approved conditions, initiate early warnings, and alert management with proposed corrective actions.
  • Create client and internal status reports that effectively communicate project status and trends.
  • Issue reports under the direction of the Project Controls Manager.
Job Specification
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in large scale construction projects, especially dams.
  • Should possess excellent knowledge and skills in Primavera 6, and have some knowledge in any other equivalent Schedule Risk Analysis software.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate complex project controls information to team members.
