  • Job Title: Consultancy: Social Mobilization Techniques, and Writing Skills

WWF-Pakistan, with the financial support of FCDO, is implementing a project titled "Scaling up nature-based solutions for improving integrated water resources management and enhanced water security in Pakistan". The project aims to pilot Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at selected locations in Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in partnership with relevant stakeholders. Water management for improving the health of natural ecosystems, better water resource management, and livelihood improvement will be outcomes of the project interventions.

Objective of the Consultancy:
To build the capacity of the social mobilization staff involved in field implementation by enhancing their practical skills in advanced social mobilization, professional writing, and presentation, including reporting, documentation, conducting various studies, e.g., impact, case studies, success stories, and effective communication.

The key components that will be included are
i) Conduct a face-to-face or online meeting to understand the need for this assignment
ii) Develop a clear and understandable module for the training and share it with WWF for review and approval
iii) The module will cover "Advanced Social Mobilization techniques; Effective Writing Skills, including but not limited to report writing, success stories, impact, and case studies, and a little know-how about the development of factsheets and infographics."
iv) The Module will also cover the smart methods of developing presentations (PPT)
v) The training should be interactive, more practical, and easier to understand

1. Training Module and Agenda (approved before the training)
2. Facilitation of Training (minimum 2 days, can be adjusted as per need)
3. Training Material/Manual/Handouts
4. Pre- and Post-Training Evaluation Reports
5. Final Training Report including outcomes, recommendations, and participants' feedback.

Requirements
  • MPhil/PhD in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in community mobilization, training facilitation, and documentation.
  • Proven expertise in adult learning methodologies and participatory training.
  • Strong writing skills with samples of previous work (manuals, reports, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex processes and issues clearly to a heterogeneous audience and in an actionable manner.
  • Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or development agencies will be preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
