
Assistant Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Operations will provide critical operational and administrative support to the Manager, Procurement & Operations, and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of Deaf Reach Hub and Satellite Schools. This role plays a vital part in streamlining operations across multiple locations, ensuring regulatory compliance, resource optimization, and project execution.
This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to travel frequently to program and satellite sites to ensure operational standards and address challenges on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of rural satellite school locations to evaluate infrastructure, safety, and accessibility standards.
- Track the progress of ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with local Admin and Operations Officers to maintain and improve facilities, including buildings, utilities, and furniture.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to both the Head Office and program staff.
- Review procurement requests for school supplies and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Maintain updated records of contracts and MOUs, ensuring regulatory compliance and required documentation is in place.
- Act as a liaison between the Head Office and satellite sites, facilitating clear communication and swift issue resolution.
- Collect and analyse operational data to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support staff development by organising training sessions, workshops, and access to professional resources.
- Assist in planning and monitoring the annual budget for operational expenses.
- Ensure all project facilities meet health, safety, and accessibility regulations.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking, organisational, and communication skills.
- Work independently and collaboratively, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Travel to various districts or provinces as needed to support project implementation and oversight.
