Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's complete accounting functions, with a strong focus on 
sales tax compliance and reporting
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing ledgers, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and coordinating sales tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance:

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
  • Assist with audits and provide required documentation.

Sales Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales tax returns (e.g., FBR/SRB or relevant authority).
  • Ensure timely payment of all tax liabilities.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Maintain records for tax audits and ensure full compliance with government authorities.
  • Liaise with tax consultants or legal advisors when necessary.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Generate and present financial statements and reports to management.
  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other reports for internal and external use.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all accounting and tax-related files (digitally and physically).
  • Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Coordination & Support:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth flow of financial data.
  • Support inventory and procurement teams with cost-related analysis.
  • Handle external communications related to accounts and taxation (e.g., vendors, auditors, tax authorities).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CA Inter preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of 
    sales tax regulations (Pakistan-specific)
     and accounting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with 
    FBR/SRB tax portals
     and e-filing systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll and withholding tax will be a plus.
