Job Role / Responsibilities:

The Programmer Analyst will possess relevant academic qualifications and/or experience in software development. Responsibilities include analyzing, programming, maintaining, and managing software applications throughout the system development lifecycle.

Specifically, you will:

  • Support university-wide AKU Global ERP operations and expansion, including ERP support and implementation across the university and its affiliates worldwide.
  • Create and maintain software applications, understanding existing applications from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Participate in all phases of application development: analysis, design, development, and implementation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Data Modeling and Data Analysis techniques.
  • Learn and utilize software development tools such as PeopleTools and PeopleCode.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive requirements and system documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance and testing processes.
  • Prepare personal development plans with your supervisor and engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.
  • Operate within established practices and procedures to ensure smooth operational services.
  • Coordinate with other departments to deliver results effectively.
  • Undertake special assignments as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in Computer Science or related fields (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, MBA in MIS).
  • Candidates without formal degrees but with extensive programming experience may also be considered.
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to understand and apply data modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Capacity to analyze, document business requirements, and propose solutions independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaborative skills and willingness to support team members.
