We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accountant to manage and analyze financial records specific to our building projects. This role requires familiarity with job costing, construction billing, and general accounting principles.

This is a full-time on-site role for a General Accountant Construction, located in Islamabad. The General Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes:

  • Preparing financial statements and reports
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Preparing tax returns and coordinating audits
  • Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the general ledger and project cost ledgers
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and job cost reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process subcontractor payments and verify lien waivers
  • Track project budgets and forecasts
  • Reconcile bank, Customers and vendor statements
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting
  • Support project managers with budget analysis and financial insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks, Zoho or any other usage will be a plus point

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, Effective communication and interpersonal skills
