Overview

MTI Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain our Oracle 11g & 19c database environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in database installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning, with additional experience in managing Oracle WebLogic Server.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database 11g & 19c on Linux/Windows environments.
  • Install, configure, and manage Oracle WebLogic Server, including deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Perform regular database backups and recovery using RMAN and Data Pump.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans; ensure high availability and data protection strategies.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ADDM, and tuning techniques.
  • Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard for standby and failover environments.
  • Manage user roles, privileges, and database security according to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high system availability.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripts or other scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with development and system administration teams to support application deployment and performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA with Oracle 11g & 19c.
  • Proven experience with Oracle WebLogic Server installation and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of RMAN, Data Pump, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Experience with database patching and upgrade processes.
  • Understanding of Oracle ASM, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Knowledge of Oracle RAC and Exadata.
  • Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript, Web).
  • Experience working in a multi-tenant environment or with Oracle Multitenant architecture.
