**Job Title:** Library Assistant

**Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Library Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about books, learning, and customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Manager-Reference & Research Support, working with professional staff, and managing the circulation desk. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the technical processing of books and other library materials.
  • Create metadata for newly acquired books and other materials.
  • Prepare, route, and collect purchase orders for library materials.
  • Perform circulation duties on regular days and weekends in different shifts during morning, evening, and nights.
  • Browse and search different websites and online stores to check the availability of required books.
  • Assist library patrons in searching for library materials.
  • Shelf read designated area daily.
  • Scan documents as required and add scanned content to the Institutional Repository.

**Requirements:

  • Fresh Graduates
  • 2 years of relevant experience desirable.
