About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to lead and elevate our product design initiatives. This role involves designing, managing, and optimizing user experiences and design systems to deliver consistent, user-centered, and innovative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership
  • Drive the end-to-end design strategy for developer-focused products.
  • Create a holistic design vision that aligns with product and technical goals.
  • Establish and evangelize design principles that resonate with technical user personas.
Design System Mastery
  • Architect a comprehensive, scalable design system serving internal teams and external developer users.
  • Develop modular, flexible design components adaptable across different platforms and use cases.
  • Implement design tokens and systematic approach to color, typography, spacing, and interaction patterns.
User Experience Research & Strategy
  • Conduct in-depth user research targeting developer experience (DevX).
  • Create detailed user personas and journey maps for developer tools.
  • Develop data-driven design strategies solving real developer pain points.
Collaboration & Ecosystem Design
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and developer relations teams.
  • Bridge the gap between design aesthetics and technical functionality.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align design and technical strategies.
Mentorship & Design Culture
  • Build a design practice emphasizing continuous learning and design thinking.
  • Mentor junior designers focusing on technical design skills.
  • Develop design review processes promoting constructive feedback and innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of product design experience with a strong focus on developer tools or technical products.
  • Computer Science or related technical degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
  • Strong front-end development knowledge including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • A portfolio demonstrating complex design system work and developer tool interfaces.
  • Experience with design accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
  • A strong understanding of modern web technologies and developer workflows.
