What is Product Designer - MMBL?

We are looking for a versatile Product Designer with strong UI/UX and Product Management skills to lead the development of intuitive digital products across our customer-facing channels including mobile apps, internet banking and corporate portal. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who can think strategically as a product owner while also building visually engaging user interfaces.

What Product Designer - MMBL Does?

• Design intuitive and engaging visual user interfaces and journeys for customer facing digital channels including but not limited to App, Internet Banking and Corporate Portal.
• Translate concepts into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to understand requirements and translate them into user friendly designs.
• Develop and maintain design system, style guide, UI components library and design processes.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and analyze user data to make informed design decisions.
• Iterate designs based on user feedback, technical constraints and business requirements.
• Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
• Stay updated on UI/UX trends, emerging technologies, tools and best practices.
• Present design concepts effectively to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into iterations.
• Participate in design critiques, brainstorming sessions and team meetings.
• Be champion for user-centered designs within the organization.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Product Designer - MMBL?

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer.
• Demonstrated history of working on UI/UX projects, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing user data.
• Experience contributing to and maintaining design systems and style guides.

Preferred:

• Experience working on Banking or FinTech products.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Technical Proficiency

• Proficiency in design tools such as:
• Figma
• Sketch
• Adobe Creative Suite
• (Or similar design software)
• Strong grasp of:
• UI/UX design principles
• Information architecture
• Interaction design
• Visual design

Preferred:

• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively.

Preferred:

• A genuine passion for the financial technology space.
