Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations group, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in recording and processing financial transactions. You will work closely with our existing team to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process within GP.
  • Posting invoice batches within the sales module and ensuring that the invoices are being deferred correctly in GP.
  • Preparing AR aging reports, assisting in the preparation of the allowance for doubtful account provision, and supporting materials.
  • Processing customer account credits, return memos, cash receipts, and applying them against invoices in GP.
  • Coordinating and managing all relevant support relating to customer invoices, including executed contracts, purchase orders, and other support materials.
  • Assisting in the regular reconciliation of AR-related accounts (e.g., work in progress, AR, deferred revenue).
  • Assisting with state sales tax compliance and other tax requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy.


To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A proven track record of bookkeeping and accounting experience.
  • A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • The ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Excel.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A professional accounting qualification or equivalent degree in finance, accounting.
