Job Title: Maternity Care Professional

Job Description:

  1. Present a professional image by wearing the provided uniform and maintaining a neat appearance when interacting with colleagues, patients, and attendants.
  2. E nsure the dispensary and biomedical equipment are thoroughly cleaned and in proper working order.
  3. Obtain prior permission from the duty senior before handling any biomedical equipment.
  4. Provide sanitized, disinfected, and clean equipment to staff for patient care provision.
  5. Maintain strict adherence to infection control policies.
  6. Assist nursing staff during patient transfer and care.
  7. Clean and maintain all available equipment at their duty station, including computers, incubators, warmers, ventilators, cupboards, trolleys, etc.
  8. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to identify concerns when interacting with others.
  9. The midwife plays a key role in providing support to patients.
  10. Work under the direct supervision of the Nursing Unit HN/AHN/Supervisor Nursing/TL RN.
  11. Collaborate effectively as a team member under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  12. Prioritize and manage work demands efficiently.
  13. Document records of equipment received from CSSD.
  14. Keep track of linen stock records.
  15. Maintain procedure set records.
  16. Perform additional duties assigned by the HN/AHN/Supervisor Nursing.
