  • Job Description

  • This role is responsible for developing and maintaining test cases, scenarios, and test scripts for QA testing (manual and automated testing).

  • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with high-level computer languages (Java & D3/Pick preferred), in-depth knowledge of MS-SQL, and familiarity with Win Runner, Load Runner, Test Director, and QuickTest Pro.

  • Responsibilities

  • This position involves:

    1. Developing and maintaining test cases, scenarios, and test scripts for QA testing;
    2. Providing estimates of work efforts for a work request to QA Lead/Manager;
    3. Providing status reports of current workload to QA Lead/Manager;
    4. Serving as an active participant of a development team that maps a plan to future product phases;
    5. Proactively assisting in the definition of Quality Assurance guidelines for the software development process;
    6. Evaluating product requirements and functional specifications in order to develop effective test cases and scenarios;
    7. Liaising with Quality Assurance Lead and Project Manager in the scheduling of pre-development quality assurance and post-development test execution as needed;
    8. Providing premier Quality Assurance testing of assigned software products;
    9. Conducting System testing of enhancements and fixes;
    10. Reviewing requirements and technical design docs for test case, scenarios, and test script development;
    11. Documenting, reporting, and tracking defects found during testing, launch, and product usage;
    12. Reviewing defects in production for testing enhancements;
    13. Administering and/or assisting in user training;
    14. Assisting in implementation of QA standards and continual improvement activities.
