About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact projects that enhance the educational experience for over 1 million students worldwide.

Your primary focus will be on building cutting-edge features that directly influence how students and advisors interact with their academic journey. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Customer Success, to ensure project alignment and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of impactful projects, prioritizing student and advisor needs, and driving meaningful results in education.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, following best practices like accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and security (OWASP Top 10).
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and engage in customer discussions to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Take full ownership of project execution, ensuring minimal disruptions and efficient delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their development and growth.
Requirements
  • Full Stack Development: Proficient in JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, or Vue) and strong backend skills in Python (Django, Flask) or NodeJS.
  • Database Management: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with ElasticSearch and AWS is a plus.
  • Testing & Code Quality: Experience with automated testing tools like PyTest, Jest, or Cypress, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
