Project Manager 2: Strategic Initiative Lead

The ideal candidate for this role possesses intellectual curiosity, creativity, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence business and technical leaders in a dynamic environment.

This person will lead investigations into undefined areas, ambiguous requirements, and define scope, requirements, and measurable deliverables that can be executed on using PMO principles. They create scope and execute initiatives by partnering with senior stakeholders to understand and prioritize initiatives to improve organization performance.

  • Key responsibilities include formulating strategy, plans, and measurable objectives for programs and projects.
  • Demonstrable improvement of Key Process Indicators (KPIs) vs. baseline measurements developed as part of each project effort.
  • Timely completion of project initiatives and successful management of project scope, budget, and schedule.

Effective project communications with multiple stakeholders, teams, and executive management are essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • PMP, ITIL or equivalent Certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management, process engineering, or strategy within a technology or operations environment.
  • Leadership skills, including experience leading a portfolio of programs, multiple projects, and teams.
  • Analytical skills, including experience using objective data to drive strategic recommendations.
  • Communications skills, including the ability to concisely explain complex issues, communicate well in writing and verbally.
