Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead our software development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them towards successful completion.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Eliciting, analyzing, and interpreting business requirements and translating them into detailed project plans.
  • Managing project scope, goals, and deliverables in line with business objectives.
  • Developing and executing project communication plans to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Estimating resource needs and ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Facilitating definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, documents, and resource allocation plans.
  • Providing direction and support to the project team.
  • Project evaluations and assessments of results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in people management, risk management, and change management.
  • Strong leadership skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Agile-type delivery methodologies and Scrum/Kanban principles.
  • Extensive experience managing software development projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • PMP certification or active candidate status is highly desirable.
