As a Radiology Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing dictated notes from various medical sources. This includes patient histories, physical examinations, emergency room visits, operations, chart reviews, consultation, and/or discharge summaries.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Science and one year of in-house training or at least two years of related work experience. Excellent communication skills, particularly in spoken and written English, are also required.

You should have a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, the ability to operate transcription equipment and work effectively in teams as well as independently is essential.

The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing and editing transcribed reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology. They will also return dictated reports in printed or electronic form for physicians' review, signature, and corrections.

In this role, you will maintain a system log of documents transcribed and update it on a regular basis. You will also meet with doctors to resolve any dictation-related queries and provide feedback regarding their dictation.
