About the Role

As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our rapidly growing infrastructure. We are looking for a highly skilled individual with experience in PostgreSQL database administration to join our team.

  • Administer PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters throughout the development and production lifecycles.
  • Develop and implement Postgres partition and sharding strategies to support rapidly growing data volumes.
  • Monitor performance issues on all production and non-production databases, implementing performance monitoring and trending.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and regressions before they impact customers.

We utilize Datadog for application and infrastructure monitoring.

You will work closely with our development teams to optimize SQL statements, design and implement databases, and develop processes for optimizing database security and standards.

Key Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (working with v16.0 and above).
  • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon RDS (Postgres and Aurora).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
