At the forefront of research, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to design and implement cutting-edge methodologies for crop estimation. A Master's degree in Agriculture (with specialization in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or Horticulture) is essential, as well as strong working knowledge of MS Office. Excellent analytical skills, business presentation skills in English, and willingness to travel regularly for crop tours and supervise the implementation of crop estimation methodology are also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement research methodologies for crop estimation
  • Contribute to the development of research methodologies and strategies, continuously reviewing and refining them as needed
  • Collect and evaluate primary and secondary data, ensuring consistency across databases and external sources
  • Estimate cotton areas by gathering data from official sources, visual estimations, farmer interviews, and third-party information
  • Assess risks to crop estimates by working out various scenarios, evaluating the impact of factors such as weather, pests, diseases, and changing costs or supply of inputs or labor
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Agriculture (specialization in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Business presentation skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel regularly for crop tours and supervise the implementation of crop estimation methodology
